Should I build the wall? Not a Floyd question.

Bpage; Active room correction needs not be expensive. The Audyssey system is integrated into 2 receivers so far and is working its way into more budget receiver and even HTIB systems! If you really are interested in how they accomplish MultEQ successfully, check out our review of the...

Should I build the wall? Not a Floyd question.

Ethan; I emailed you the papers. There is plenty of math in there to keep you entertained. Again this is NOT averaging please read the papers and it will correct for multiple positions at the same time and derive a very accurate transfer function of the room response. Bpage; The...

    The Jon Risch Vent

Don't forget the chocolately midrange that a good cable can bring out in your system. This was one of my design goals when I developed the GLOB cable. Also there is no need to cook or cryo treat them. Simply refrigerate before serving ;)

Should I build the wall? Not a Floyd question.

What you are saying was true until smarter systems such as the one from Audyssey was devised. There are a few other companies working on similar solutions that show much promise. Active room correction is now a viable compliment to passive. In addition a single band PEQ is one of the best...

Should I build the wall? Not a Floyd question.

Just for the record, modal ringing can be resolved using active correction, usually much easier, more cost effective, and more space efficient than passive room correction. But don't belive me, check out what peer reviewed Dr. Floyd Toole has to say about this...

    Why are heavier receivers better?

Do not throw money away on new equipment until you address the following: 1) Proper speaker placement and setup 2) Proper acoustical treatment of your room (not necessarily sound panels) 3) Adding an extra sub with proper integration to provide more uniform bass response in your room...

    Subwoofer Cable Review

Yes if a cable is designed well it should function well when used as an audio interconnect and usually even as a video interconnect, depending on the types of shielding utilized. Usually companies market a separate video cable so it matches the color code (ie. yellow - composite, Blue/Green/Red...
