Sorry but your are way off on that one. All of the Krells and Parasound amps I am aware of utilize a single power cord and a linear amp design. Best case scenario for linear amp designs factoring in very conservative power factor and transformer losses and you are lucky to get 40% efficiency...

either way most upgrades require dealer intervention. The 5800 did both software and hardware upgrades and I expect the same with the 5805. Integra Research and especially Athem have dissapointed many owners with their infrequent updates despite touting it as a main marketing feature.

Ok its obvious you care not to read why this is a flawed test, especially since the conditions in which they are conducted aren't realistic, not to mention that many receivers deliberately self limit full cycle power tests like this.

I wouldn't be to sure about that. Denon has been one of the most consistant manufacturers offering upgrades on their Non modular receivers. Look at the 5800 as an example.

You need to do spin control on that to change her perception of us. Tell her how relieved you are that you saved $$$$ on exotic cables and snake oil gimmicks and how we find and recommend equipment costing much less than the so called high end stuff that it outperforms :rolleyes:
