Try setting HDMI to HDMI to "Through" on the RX-Z7 and see if that fixes it. Also don't use 480i on your Oppo. I noticed when I use 480i on my Denon DVD player into the Z7, I sometimes get no picture. I believe its a microvision thing and I sent an email to Yamaha about it.
