Weird b/c solid core 10awg will suffer more skin effect than stranded even if the stranded isn't litz configuration. Not to mention solid core at that gauge is very hard to work with. Well I guess if it makes you happy, who are we to say otherwise :rolleyes:

no there is no party mode on the 3900. I updated the review comparison table to reflect this. No there will be no review of a 3900 as the product is too similar to warrant it.

Many receivers at this price have inadequate drive levels to allow dedicated amps to reach full power unclipped. Assuming the Emo works correctly, it should be a big advantage over receivers in its price class as a dedicated pre/pro. Plus it looks a whole lot better IMO..

Um I strongly disagree that it has to be DBT. If the listeners are unaware of the speakers they are listening to they can still make relatively excellent unbiased judgements. I often do quick comparisons of speaker pairs when doing reviews without any DBT or ABT testing and its easy to hear...

If your going with this MCM speaker package, I'd stongly encourage you to consider 2 of the tsC ASW-8 subwoofers. They are small compact and powerful and super cheap. I was floored by their performance and they would be a perfect fit for these speakers...

Yes it does! I just tested this. It will not downconvert the HDMI audio if you just turn on the other zones. You must use "Party Mode" for it to do it. I still recommend running an extra pair of analog cables from your DVD player to the Z7 as a backup though....
