    NAD AVR Lineup

Nobody has every really successfully pulled off the module design concept. Integra Research failed at this years ago and Denon didn't have much better success either. The updates as you mentioned are too costly. NAD just announced the 4K module but it won't support full 18.2GPS data since the...

    EMPTek R55Ti vs Chane A5rx-c

Looks like poor resonance control on the tweeter. My god that's a big bump up at 20kHz. Though I bet the top end sounds very airy as a result.

Outlaw Model 5000 Multi-Channel Amplifier: Best Deal of the Year?

Agreed regulating a power supply for an amplifier is not a good idea since you will essentially be wasting power to regulate. I had a friend that did this with his amps and although they sounded great and measured great, they were relatively low power as a result.

Pioneer SP-EBS73-LR Dolby Atmos Elite Concentric Bookshelf Speaker Overview

I got to hear a full AJ speaker setup at my local Magnolia. I though the audio sounded pretty good but the Atmos effect was virtually non-existent. My wife couldn't stand them at all. Said all the sound was confined at the speaker without much of the 3D effect they are touted to have. I...

Legacy Audio Studio HD Speakers Reviewed

The Legacy Audio Studio HD bookshelf speakers are shocking. Usually when someone talks about an American, hand-crafted speaker with amazing high-frequency detail (thanks to a unique tweeter), a top-of-the-line cabinet, and high-end finish options, you start to imagine the price tag going up, and...

A listing of the Best Bookshelf Speakers for $500/pair

Let's face it, when space is tight, your best bet to getting good sound is a pair of bookshelf speakers mated with a subwoofer tucked away out of sight. $500/pair seems to be a good sweet spot where respectable performance and good aesthetics can be had in the same package.
