I just scanned the thread and notice you're having QC issues with your RBH speakers. You should definitely be working directly with either your dealer or RBH (whomever you bought them from) to replace them rather than repair them. Good luck to you as this is certainly not the norm for the brand...

Make sure your receiver has a separate LFE crossover setting otherwise it's possible you can truncate the LFE channel by setting the LPF on the mains below 80Hz. Depending on which Yamaha you have, there should be a separate setting.

This is why for 90% of installs, it's best to run satellite speakers all around, multi-sub and 80Hz crossover. It really is the easiest thing to setup and understand for most consumers. Integrating tower speakers with subs is very tricky business.
