Rex; RBH doesn't sell direct unfortunately :( You should look at their Signature line if you can find a local dealer.

    RBH vs. B&W or Paradigm

Actually in many cases RBH outperforms the brands you mentioned when comparing similar price points. Check out our reviews and you will see that we do believe in their product performance and value. B&W and Paradigm also make excellent products so ultimately it comes down to what you prefer...

Yamaha RX-Z9 -or- Anthem Statement D1

There is a top level block diagram of the DVD-5900 located here: http://www.audioholics.com/productreviews/avhardware/Denon_DVD-5900p2.html The DVD-5900 DAC's can support both formats natively but does go through PCM conversion to handle Bass Management and Time Alignment which is done in...

    Exclusive Denon AVR-3805 First Look!

Sounds like an induced ground loop somewhere. Try connecting all components to one outlet. If that doesn't work, check cabling. Try shielded twister pair on interconnects between preamp outs to Zone2 source for biamping. If your still having hum, try to isolate if a cable box, or 3 prong...

Bodybuilding Thread from Yamaha Z9 Discussion

My advice on love handles (which I need to actually practice rather than just preach) is to lower Pizza intake :) One of the driving forces behind why I engage in weightlifting is so I can still eat Pizza ;) Seriously though, a regular exercise program with weight training is essential for...

This came at quite a surprise to me as well. It seems Outlaw has a killer sub on their hands and SVS truly deserves the reputation it has garnered.

    Exclusive Denon AVR-3805 First Look!

You may wish to experiment with speaker placement, perhaps placing your main speakers more closely to back/side walls. Does your subwoofer only kick in for multi channel sources? You may wish to set all speakers to small since the B&W's don't have very low end authority to begin with, and let...

    Yamaha RX-Z9 First Look

Tony; Great questions, let me try to address: Yes you can and great idea! The Z9 does run very hot, but the heat is mostly on the top of the unit near the heat sinks of the amps. The large PS caps seemed to remain fairly cool so I don't think its as much of an issue with reliability...

    Yamaha RX-Z9 First Look

Warrent; I believe you are correct and this is perhaps a defficiency in the Z9 I failed to point out. Most of the time I set the scaling to pass thru since I only used it for my composite video sources. This may be fixable in firmware and I will discuss this with Yamaha. Thanks for your...

    Exclusive Denon AVR-3805 First Look!

There is more to a processor than just the dac quality but it does certainly help out! Denon does a great job with layout and circuit topologies and it shows in the performance of their products. The 3805 would make a great pre/pro to use in conjunction with a great dedicated amp.
