14/4 is the way to go. I made the mistake of running 10/2 throughout my house which is very difficult to terminate and impossible to connect to VCs. 14/4 gives you 11AWG equivalent resistance which is close enough to 10AWG while still being manageable.

This happens on other models too. I discussed this in my RX-Z7 review. I believe if you use Party mode it will help. Otherwise if its a real problem use analog for all sources when doing multi zone.

agreed, it sounds like marketing nonsense. If you consider a typical wall 4" thick wall will transmit 1/4 wavelength frequencies through it then you'd have to start seriously cutting bass below 500Hz to significantly reduce transmission through that wall. Even if you cut bass below 50Hz...

We have had that discussion many times with the fine folks at Axiom. They believe however that regardless of price, their M80's can't be beat in their own in-house Blind test, so they never saw a need to make a more expensive speaker.

Yamaha receivers in the past have always allowed DSP overlay on DD/DTS and TrueHD/DTS HD signals. I no longer have an RX-A3000 on hand but my trusted source at Yamaha claims it will overlay DSP on those signals if you want it to.
