    $10,000 Two Channel Recommended System

LOL I love that last line. When my wife found out about the health risks of Be, I had to convince her that the odds of the drivers burning and turning to dust are very remote. It's worth the risk IMO, especially the tweeter. The drivers just ooze sexiness and performance with aplomb!

    $4,000 Two-Channel Stereo Recommended System

Nobody said that. It was a good choice for the money based on reviewers experience here. NHT and SVS offer very good alternatives with more bass output. WE want to mix stuff up and not just promote one brand all the time in these systems. I'd love to promote the new Monitor Audio speaker...

    2014 $1000 Two-Channel Stereo Recommended System

I must be loosing it. I swear I went to that page today and it said 70wpc full bandwidth. Crud. Looking at their 1kHz 10% Power rating of 100watts, that probably translates to about 75-80 watts full bandwidth unclipped. Wish they would rate per FTC for 2CH product :(

Agreed and great point! It can actually be used as a preamp and a 5.1 processor at that! Not a bad idea to have a system built around that concept.

OK Guys so which Sony Blu-ray do you recommend? I have very little experience with their players lately. It has to be a current model offered on their website. Thx.

    2014 $1000 Two-Channel Stereo Recommended System

Look again. All over their website they rate it as follows: 70 W per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 0.09% THD, 2-ch driven) For the money it looks like a solid recommendation. Also as a general note to all: We don't recommend used gear for these systems. You guys have to give that a rest!

LOL yea in about 2017 I should be able to get one with under 25k miles for that price. Check out this website which is where I purchased my Acura from: HOMEPAGE for Millenia Motors - Longwood Florida Used Car Dealer He's got some good deals on well kept, low mileage Porsche's.

I added option to use a 5.1 Yammie or Denon receiver for future upgrades. The new Denon does wireless streaming from bluetooth. If anyone has a solid Blu-ray recommendation that has fast loading for under $200 I can put that as alternative to the Onkyo CD Player. thx.

Have you ever tried to play a CD on a cheap blu-ray player? It's a painfully slow experience. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Cambridge Audio Azur 851 HiFi Separates Review

Not surprising. People like to diss Emotiva for being made in China meanwhile most of the high end stuff is made is also made in China and often at the same factory!

Man I want a Cayman S badly but I still have 2 kids and no back seat means I have to drive my wife's Minivan a lot more often :( My 07 Acura TL-S has 84k miles on it and is unbreakable. I think a Cayman S is in my distant future ATM. My closest compromise would be a BMW M235i but they are too...

Yea I had my eye on a 2010 but I don't think I can bring myself to buying a used German car with little or no warranty left. Speakers don't break down (usually) but German cars do :(

Wow you are a basshead! Do you have the 1010s with the Status driver? I suppose you can actively biamp the 8300s. IT's funny when I actively biamped my T30s, I settled on a bass level to within 1 dB of how the speakers function single amped. Damn Shane knows how to integrate a system...

    $10,000 Two Channel Recommended System

BTW you can actively Bi-amp the T30s. The T30s were designed to work with a receiver's bass management. The bass portion has no crossover so you can simply use the 24dB oct Xover in the sub channel of a processor. The top portion is sealed and has natural 12dB/oct rolloff. When I owned the...

and also this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiwYWkad-hU Sounds like you should drop the Kef line if you think it's that bad. Seriously why sell something you don't feel passionate about. IN looking at your test setup there was such a variance in speaker positioning. The kefs were...

LOL very true. Of course this is a guideline. I personally use the Marantz TT-15S1which is a Clear Audio Table. Very good for $1500. We are upgrading the $10k system to include the RBH SX-661/R as an alternative to the KEfs while still using the SVS Subs. This is a killer combo! It would...
