I really enjoy my BP10Bs. The only negative I can think of is that the bass, while exceptionally deep and powerful, can be a bit muddy at times. Aside from that, they are about as close to "perfect" speakers as I have heard.

True, but I never see suspicious ratings like that given by reputable manufacturers (including Yamaha.) I only see that sort of thing on no-name products like Insignia.

I seem to like change for its own sake. I am always getting new stuff (or changing the things I have around.) It is not always better, just different. I wish I could get a system I am entirely satisfied with and stick to it, but that just isn't how I am.:o

I have heard a few (very few) CDs on which I found compression and/or clipping to be audible. The most obvious aspect is that they are all loud, all the time (nothing quiet for contrast.) Sometimes, they also have a kind of hiss to them (not unlike AM radio.)

(Standard) DVDs that look great show what the medium itself is capable of. Those that don't suffer from poor mastering, and wont look any better in high def unless they are remastered, which would greatly improve the standard version as well.

So is it best to use the reflections, or to minimize them (by keeping the speakers far from walls with a lot of toe-in, or by using a lot of absortion)? I tend to take the second approach with monopoles, and the first approach only with multipoles.
