If anything, Denon made the mistake of making the 2807 look like the 3806. No question, the 3806 sounds better, with more clarity, depth and sheer sound presence. I heard them both side by side.

I don't see a huge performance leap fro mthe 2600 to the 2700, as there was from 2500 to 2600. I'd say when the 2600 goes on clearance, bargain with the dealer to get an even better deal.
