RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

Actually I measured the DA2602 on a 120V/20A dedicated line and got 1.1 kwatt x 2, 8 ohms and 2.2 kwatt at 4 ohms. It likely will deliver 4kwatt into 4 ohms on 220V.

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

CEA 2010 data is done anechoic and doesn't reflect how a sub couples in a real room. That's a real limitation of just going off these numbers and a discussion I've been having with Matt Poes, James Larson and even Dan Roemer from Perlisten. A sealed sub that has a large high excursion driver...

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

We've reviewed Funk subs in the past. They were good but not really class leading from what I recall from this review. Cabinetry was good however. https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/fw-12.x/fw-12.x-introduction very inefficient driver needs lots of power to play loud at least from...

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

LOL that's silly. 4 RSL's cannot match the output of this single 21" RBH. The RBH is sealed and will see a +9dB output advantage at infrasonic frequencies due to room gain over a similar ported sub. I already have 4 subs. The 21" is added for infrasonics.

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

it wasn't easy. I had to employ two All Pass Filters to not get it to cancel with the other ported subs in my system. I may investigate sealing ALL of the ported subs in my system to eliminate the APFs. I have so much headroom in bass that it may be worth the output sacrifice. It will certainly...

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

Not sure to what extent RBH swept this sub at power at infrasonic frequencies. I know they did run 4kwatts of power to torture the driver and it stood up to it. That's insane! They do have a ported version being installed in an extremely upscale theater system in Orlando we hope to cover in the...

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

The driver RBH is using is one of the best if NOT the best 21" on the market. We get it, you don't like subs that cost $10k. Just imagine someone now responding to you that they can get 20 BIC subs for the price of your Dayton's that will be "Better" :)

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

There are many advantages to sealed vs ported for large high output, high excursion subs. The room gain for infrasonic bass in a sealed sub is superior compared to the ported sub below tuning. They will be offering a ported version but the enclosure is massive and I wouldn't put that in my...

And for the price of those I'm sure someone would rather go with another brand I'm sure you would. and someone else that hasn't heard any of these subs would want to go with another brand they also never heard before too

RBH Sound 21" Monster 4kwatt Sub First to Meet our Maximus Bassaholic Rating!

RBH Sound’s Unrivaled 21-SF/R is a 300+ lbs. monster that uses a 21” carbon fiber driver powered by a 4,000 watt amplifier. This bruiser is so powerful that it forced us to create a whole new category of performance for our Bassaholics room rating called Maximus. This 21” behemoth uses a carbon...

    RBH Sound Owner's Thread

The RBH 21" has about a +6dB output advantage over the awesome Perlisten D215S, hence why we created a new Maximus Bassaholic room size rating. Below 25Hz, the RBH dominates!
