IF you turn off the sub channel on most modern AVRs from Denon, Marantz, Yamaha, etc, the LFE will be re-routed to the mains. Sometimes this can be a bit too much LFE especially if your mains aren't up for the task so you should lower the LFE level at least 3-6dB (different than the sub level)...
