Yeah, yeah. Just when I thought we were rid of those distorting boomboxes, there are now those palm-sized bluetooth speakers starting to pop up and we're hearing more people blast their music through their cell phones.... :confused:

I think they buy end-of-model-year discounts at 48 months but even then, with $1000/month payments, they can't afford much else! :eek: Wharfedale consistently makes good speakers at all price levels.

Are you sure it's not something else - like maybe the computer monitor or other thing on your desk that's rattling?

I kinda doubt your story (on the price) simply because those look like Kevlar-woven mid-woofers.

Well, a couple of years ago, I found a pair of these in a pawn shop for $40.

Wharfedale is always a safe bet. They have a wide range of speakers in that price range. Should be very available in Vienna (assuming Austria.)

I have Murphy's New Philharmonitors (designs most crossovers for Salk) with the RAAL tweeters. Rolled off highs are simply not an issue.

I'd recommend you skip the 52's and go for 4 22's all around and use the difference to get a much better sub-woofer.

But the problem comes with balancing detail with high end brightness/harshness. Can be tough.

Well, there you go. Stop listening to CD, then! o_O (Or get a new CD player.) Wharfedale 210's are $500/pair and they consistently do make good speakers.
