Having owned the BS22's, I can tell you that they sound much better when they are braced IF they are played at loud levels.

I know a lot of people were expecting an upgrade/better speaker than the 22/52 but this is mainly looking at the general public HT market. The whole point of this (AVR + speakers) were clearly said by AJ - this is for, more or less, listening to the plane/superhero/explosions flying over your head.

Coming out of both speakers at the same time? If not, switch cables going down the line from the source. Same distortion from the same recording in the CD's or not? Make sure all connections are firmly in place. DeOxIt 5 to spray into all switches (especially volume) and RCA plugs and rotate...

Well, under a small LED flashlight, it sort of looks like that but not as bad. Shorter, lighter streaks going around in a circle like that.

My CSB's look flawless. (I have excellent near-field eyesight. I can see each individual pixel on a computer screen up close.) No problems there. I really enjoy how they sound - except I listen almost exclusively to old music - pre-1990 - so while excellent recordings sound great, not great...

Where are you in PA? Dennis (Phil Audio) lives in MD just outside of DC if you want to visit him. It might not be that far for you.
