The trailer is very interesting....looks like a must see for the special affects junkies like myself.

It's a helluva Giant Robots fighting Giant Monsters movie. It's like the monster movie that 8 year old me could only have dreamed about seeing. I think 8 year old me would have exploded from excitement. It's a bit silly if you think about it too long, and there are more than a few cornball moments, but there's also a lot of cool, quirky weirdness (this is del Toro, after all). Oh yeah, and lots and lots of awesome Robot vs. Monster action. Good times.

I saw it last week and actually enjoyed it. I'm sorta used up on big budget FX-alien flix, but I saw Pacific Rim mainly because it was directed by Guillermo del Toro. Unlike a lot of big-budget Hollywood guys, del Toro can make a move like this and make it seem like he really likes this sort of movie. A non-cynical director makes a big difference.

I don't have much of a selection of stores in my neck of the woods. All others are selling for $5 bucks more.

In my other town, Walmart is basically IT. There pretty much is no other option except grocery stores and their prices are insane. I order from Amazon then Best Buy is 20 minutes away and Frys is 1hr. In SJ though, where I am most of the time, Frys is in walking distance
