Here it is. Although, the directions were right, you definitely need Bunn coffee filters, otherwise you can expect half your grinds to end up in the pot.

That looks like a good one. I really wanted the Bunn because of the water reservoir so as soon as you add the new water and shut the lid, it immediately starts spitting out coffee, not that the one you linked takes all that long by the specs. Although at 1400 watts, you could power a very large subwoofer with that thing :p

Congratulations on the new new coffee maker. I've been looking at this one.

I think both Swerd and Alex have it.

The Bunns are really fast, recommend you filter the water that goes in to reduce scaling issues as they keep a pot- full hot 24/7

Swerd has something else with a stainless thermal carafe that lost it's vacuum seal due to the glue joint deteriorating. He recommended a glass thermal carafe in that Bonavita: Amazon.com: Bonavita BV1800TH 8-Cup Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe: Kitchen & Dining

The glass carafe holds it's vacuum by melting the glass so it's good until you bounce it. Sweet Maria's (fancy Cali coffee bean place) also recommends that. It's pretty good and very basic. I like it because I don't need it to tell me time or the lunar phase.

I just got through watching a car fire. I heard some stunting going on outside and then there was a loud noise like a car crash followed by silence. I opened my blind a tad after turning off my lights and watched a couple of figures moving around under the street light. One guy seemed to want to boogie on outa there but returned and then both guys took off ... aye. Then the police came. Then a fire truck. Then a red rescue wagon and I think another fire truck followed by another cop. Then the cops left ... probably looking for the vehicle occupants.

I'm telling you all this because after hitting the sack super early I woke up and made myself a coffee drink. Yeah, that Bonavita is the sh!t, bro. :D

So the big question is ... does the coffee really taste any better?

Oh and just in time for the start of the good DBZ episodes tomorrow ... I think ... might be one or two more. :)

I don't think anything could improve the taste of the coffee I buy. It's supposed to be hazelnut..........it tastes no different than regular no matter how many scoops you put in.

I'm pumped. Got my alarm set and everything :D

In my case, yes.

The high powered heating element gets the water hotter and that does make the flavor better.

I'm thinking of upgrading the power cord.

I haven't checked yet to see if the Bunn delivers the advertised temp. I think I'll do that today.

If you want a power cord that's good at getting things hot, just grab the one from your toaster. Well, or an Onkyo. :p

Haha, I have and the other good part is that it's non dairy (at least I think I read that on the label) and I'm a touch lactose intolerant, as most Asians are.

Wow, it must be really good!

Oh, guess not. :( :D

Have you tried Coffee-mate hazelnut creamer? I sometimes use the liquid fat-free version and think it's good.

Congrats on the new coffee maker, btw. :)

I had to call it a night early last night due to bad poops from dairy. Being lactose intolerant is the worst. I'm only half asian and I have 500% lactose intolerance >:[

Although in Adam's view you're an overachiever. :p:p
Pshaw. The fact that he tasted the coffee before verifying (and even went as far as to spend time taking and posting a picture) is an embarrassment to humanity.

:D I don't think that I've ever checked the temperature on my coffee maker.

Well, I filled up much more than a cup in a QT bathroom last night. Two asians and a porcelain bowl would be a more accurate title :D

When you get older, you'll be thankful for your intolerance.

"Hey, Philip - want me to pick you up some Benefiber?"

"Nope. I'm good. I'll just swig a glass of milk."

Huh. I remember when Saturday mornings were all about cartoons. Now I'm joking about old age and bowel movements. Ahh, the progression of life...

Yet there is always a soft serve ice cream machine at Chinese buffets.
