When I spoke to Daniel today he mentioned that how they work is they put you on the list, pretty much first come first serve. Yesteraday, he mentioned that they do colors in batches. I'm not so sure but I think placing an order when Eric is working on a particular color will get you your speakers faster.. (again, not completely sure though)

Has anyone heard these bookshleves from Tekton? Model65t./They are going for $600.00 a pair. There seem to be no reviews.

Here are the specs from Tektons website.

"Warm and rich bass response is producted by a textbook vented cabinet alignment, and at the foundation is the top-quality cabinet.

It's no secret... A well engineered Tripath amplifier will rival amplifiers that cost 20X more money! However, there is one small problem... finding an efficient and affordable hi-fi loudspeaker worthy of being connected to it.

The overall frequency response is 50Hz - 25 kHz, - 10db point is 43Hz (in-room response), an audiophile reference grade frequency response (+/- 1.5dB), 4 Ohm minimum impedance (overall average impedance is 6 Ohm).

Optional Equipment: Grills, Caras binding posts, WBT input terminals. Custom paint and veneering finishes available. Custom height and perfectly fitting, sand-loadable stands."

Height 12.75" x 7.875" wide x 10.625" deep.
18lbs per speaker
100 Watt RMS - 200Watt MAX power handling.
92dB sensitibity, 110maximum output (each)
Frequency Response 50Hz - 25kHz
4Ohm minimum impedence (overall average 6 Ohm)

If they are for surrounds I would go with emp tek bookshelf for 250 bucks.

Surrounds, are just efect speakers, they get very little output material compared to your front end, I think it depends on the room and setup, I have heard some rooms where the bi polle di pole omni pole type speakers sound good and other rooms where they took away from the system. In my HT I have a wall behind my couches with the surrounds mounted above the seating position, and a tried numerous sourrounds. The di bi omni pole styles all had a kind of echo effect off of the back wall that was barely noticeable, I ended up going with a pair of bookshelfs at a slight downward angle from the ceiling... But for my brothers system he had no wall and it was an opend room with seating all over the place, his sounded better with a pair of klipsch rs42 ii 's vs bookshelfs... But I have used $50 bookshelfs and not been able to tell the difference between them and models costing 20 times more... They just dont play enough material long enough or loud enough to really zone in on a good speaker vs a "cheap" speaker...

Tekton Enzo - The most inexpensive speakers that is in the league with high-end

Just an update. I just spoke to Daniel at Tekton to finalize everything and I'll get my 4.1 M-Lores w/ custom sub and custom bipole sorrounds for $2,200.00 delivered. I thought it would be $2,500.00 but I guess Eric thought a 12' sub would do for my room(13x13x10). Sub is gonna ago down to 16-18hz.

Delivery date is 4-6 weeks. Will keep posted. Pat on the back for honest pricing/assesment to Tekton.
Congrats! Hope you enjoy them immensely.

Have you noticed a big difference in bass using Audessey 32XT +Sub EQ for your room?
I've noticed an unequivocal astronomical improvement in bass with Audyssey XT Flat + Dynamic EQ. I have not even upgraded my Denon AVP-A1HDCI to XT32 yet.

I am hoping someone will come out with a standalone Audyssey XT32 unit.

are you using these for sorrounds with Tektons right now?
rught now I have a pair of polks for the rear. As someone else mentioned , rears for movies are not critical. For the sub 300 price it is hard to beat the emp's

with my current denon receiver I like regular audyssey with dynamic eq. Looking forward to getting the EMo Umc-200 and eq the sub

I might sell my reciever and pick up the Emo UMC-200 as well... Hmm, from the review from Andrew Robinson he says the UMC-200 makes the sorrounds and the fronts seamless even with different brands..

I might just cancel the custom made bipole Tekton sorrounds and go with a lower priced sorrounds by another brand if this is the case.

Such questions are perhaps better answered on their forum. You can compare the answers they give with the ongoing thread on AVS for this particular product.

I am reading the Lore's bass is NOT as tight as some would like to be.. Any Lore owners want to chime in?

I am happy with the bass from my Lores, I have heard the mlores and I think the lores sound a lot bottom end than the smaller speaker... You are going to be using them with a sub so crossing them around 80hz its kind of a moot point... But to answer your question the Lores have a very capable sound in the basement, is it s subwoofer?? No. But can it stand alone with rock, jazz, ect.? Yes. I find most music is fine a medium llistening levels, but anything digital and a lot of rap and hip hop needs a sub, or sounds better with a sub rather...

I cancelled my order yesterday because I had some things to pay for and I wanted to research a bit more on the Tekton's before I purchase them.
My preference kind of changed as well, I decided to go 2.0 for all movies/music..

Which led me to research a bit more on the bass of the Tekton line. Since I do listen to mostly mainstream hip-hop and pop/ alternative rock, I thought I'd ask a Tekton Lore owner here whats the deal with the bass. Thanks for chiming in.. The Lore's are off the list now.

Now, if we have any eNZO owners that can say about the bass of the enzo's it would be great..:D

With the way your flip flipping around on your purchase it seems to me that you are putting too much credence to one or two people who post. The enzo doesn't go lower then the lore , I believe its frequency range starts at 40 hz. I would much rather spend 1k on fronts and 1k on sub. Buts that's me. I do know about how bills pile up and purchases have to wait :)

Yeah but the eNZO's are 2x 8' woofers vs. Lore's 1x 10' woofer.. Another reason why I want to go 2.0 is i noticed that most blurays and dvd's and recordings in movies are either done in 5.1 dolby or 2.0 dolby. Just wanna stick to the standard format of the source. So its either a 5.1 or 2.0 for me, and I just decided to go with 2.0 instead. It's just a hassle getting a 5.1 system and EQ'ing everything and it takes space and etc. Besides, my reciever does noto even EQ below 65hz so I have to get a sub equalizer etc. Just a headache.

2.0 (two towers) just looks flat out cleaner to me.. It would be great if the eNZO's bass is a deep TIGHT bass.

I saw the eNZO's in Walnut color a owner put up on AVSForum. That looks pretty good. I'll prabably get a similar color in december (treating myself out with the eNZO's for X-mas) :D
