Steve, you know what I noticed about companies like this, you need to deal with one person, get their name write it down and just talk to them, now when you call you are on a first name basis and you get a little more compassion, respect, and attention. I simple hey this is "John from Delaware, remember I had the cd player with the broken screen" he says "yeah, whats up" and you say "Im having a problem with whatever" , even if he doesnt remember you, you will get the attention as if you are an old firend vs. just another guy calling to make him do more work... I know you shouldn't have to finesse these guys, but it is what it is... I call the same people at Emo all of which I have met, I call the same guy at sound import {they are the wharfedale importers I deal with}, the same girl at ascend, and I wont talk to anyone else, Ill leave a message and wait for them to deal with my problem, and with these small companies they are ussually available rite away unless its is their day off or something...
another issue is, everyone has a different experience, some people say "wow they took great care of me, went above and beyond what I could have ever asked for" and others say "WTF, these people dont care about me".. I notice a lot of it has to do with my attitude, some people resond to you different than others, one csr may be really nice when you are really mad, others may return you being short with their own attitude, some may treat you like bad because you are being nice, people are weird animals...
