Hello, be VERY CAREFULL FOR WHAT YOU WISH FOR!
I had a Yamaha CX1000 and it was NOTHING but trouble!
1. The 4 front buttons Power, Input, and the other 2 would ALWAYS fall off!
I kept having to re-glue them on.
2. The remote was junk, and would NOT allow me to switch the rec-out inputs,
Only the regular inputs, which do NOT do ANYTHING, IF you`re useing an Equalizer!
You HAVE to switch on the REC-OUT Dial, behind the flip panel.
3. The rec-out switch ALWAYS needed to be cleaned, sprayed with the Radio Shack Tuner Cleaner
every 2-3 weeks.
4. The left OR Right channel went out, Because the amp got very HOT, because there are
NO VENTS on the side or top, so I took it in, and it would work for a week, and then break down again.
Sound quality was good, but NOT great!
Do what I did, and get yourself a Pioneer Elite C-91, or C-90.
I bought an Elite C-91, and have NOT looked back.
It has the same amount of inputs, and you CAN use the remote for your inputs
EVEN IF you use an EQ!
Although, the ONLY features I miss on the CX-1000 pre-amp,
are the Optical Digital inputs, which I hardly used, and the MIDRANGE and Loudness knobs.
Which, again you don`t really need IF you have an EQ!
The sound from the Pioneer is MUCH cleaner than the Yamaha CX-1000!
