Why does everything have to revolve around money? I've got to find a job that will a) work around school and my gf's schedule so I can use her car (would be afternoon-evening so most likely food service or retail), or b) is on campus (low hours and minimum wage).. Valentines day is going to be rough this year. It's the thought that counts right?

It only revolves around money to those who don't have it so, you know, 98% of us. If you're in college I'd try to get into serving at a nice restaurant. 3 or 4 $50 tips a night and you'll be more than set for valentines

Ain't that the truth.. Both of my roommates have their parents paying for everything. One is a bit more modest about his money, but the other one buys like there's no tomorrow. Stupid stuff too. Like multiple copies of a pocket knife so he can have one for each pocket, or a $300 Oakley backpack because his 2 other backpacks didn't match when he wanted to go "full Oakley"..

I've tried to avoid working in a restaurant.. Knowing what it's like to be a customer, I don't think I'd do well on the other side.

I've always hated Best Buy, but they're hiring for 10-15 positions. Ranging from AutoTech Trainee, to Cashier, to Home Theater specialist, to Geek Squad. It looks like I'm qualified for most of them, and according to Glass Door most of the positions pay upwards of $10/hr.

Sounds like he already has everything those are the toughest valentine's to shop for. But it sounds like he has expensive taste so you might play the field if you know what I mean. Unless he's just that good.

The best jobs in college are internships. Not sure what field you are in, but my intern makes 20 an hour and works half his hours at home and half here. He started in the summer. Not sure what dude cares about a matching backpack. Best buy is not known for being great to employees. If you do get on somewhere corporate check out the scholarship programs. Make sure you talk to HR can get all the money you can. Most corporations have college benefits if you ask the right person.
