My B&W 802D2 gets Kimber banana-banana & Revel Salon2 gets Kimber banana-spades. :D

Oh, yeah, of course, the soundstage is now larger than life, bass is now faster than the speed of light, midrange is clearer than crystal clear, and treble is sweeter than chocolate. :D

Actually it should sound more like dark chocolate based on the color of the jackets :) These are good cables, I have them too!

Naturally! :D
What were you using before? Any comments on more practical matters, ie flexibility?

They look sweet. :) How much? I would buy them for aesthetic reasons only as we know cables/interconnects to absolutely didly squat for sound quality.

The cables don't do anything for me, but the WBT connectors are nice. I have a couple sets. They use crimped-sleeve technology with a screw-down mechanism for the collar. Very secure. The only thing better is Blue Jean's Sonobond welding. Solder is difficult to get right on a 10ga cable.

I suppose medium flexibility - like the BJC grey. Not as flexible as my previous C2G Velocity blue 12 gauge cables. :D

The Kimber 8PR is about 10 gauge.

There are a dozen knock offs of the WBTs that are basically identical and cost about 1/10th the price. The only difference with the WBTs are the sleeves. I prefer BFA style bananas. I bought 48 of the Nakamichi ones for like $25 and have had no problems with them so far. On the cables on my mains I use the Knukonceptz ones.

I've heard those Kimbers too on some Paradigm Studios when the shop was trying to sell them to me. Can't say that it made a difference :)

I bought from The Cable Company. MSRP is $156/pr of 10ft cables already prepared (already stripped, ready to hook up bare wire, Kimber Kable label heat shrink jackets installed). However, with big orders over $300, I get 11.5% discount & free FedEx shipping.

Unprepared Kimber 8PR cables (not stripped yet) are $5/ft bulk, so $100/pr of 10ft cables.

So for the additional $56 fee/pr, they strip the cables, install the Kimber Kable label jackets. All I had to do was install the GLS locking bananas & Sewell spades.

Good stuff. I'm cheap, so I primarily use BJC cabling (the 12AWG grey terminated with locking bananas for the center and surrounds), though on my mains I've got some stuff I picked up from Heartland Cables a while back (looks like they died?) which is basically Canare 4S11 with techflex and basic bananas. I'm actually really impressed with the flexibility of the Canare given the thickness, and I like the techflex look.

The sleeve technology is the most important part for a secure connection. The price is high if you pay MSRP, which I didn't, but price isn't everything (or even significant to some folks if you're talking only a few hundred dollars).

Those aren't WBTs? My mistake.

The Kimber Kable 8PR is just sooooooooooooooooooooo sexy though. :D

The Kimber 4PR is $3/ft bulk, so a 10' pr = $60/pr. With discount, that's about $50/pr of 10' bulk cable. A lot of other brands cost a lot more than $50/pr, and you don't even get the Kimber Kable fancy braiding and badge. :D

Except that I've never had one fail without the sleeve either :) You can buy the sleeves separately and use them with the GLS/Sewell/Parts Express ones too.

They are GLS, which are just like BJC locking bananas. I also use the BJC on my other cables. Both the GLS bananas & Sewell spades use the screw-down mechanism (2 screws per connector).

Well now I need to see a picture of the badge! For some reason, I'm picturing you walking around with a sheriffs badge that says Kimber Kable on it :p
