I'd ask yourself how much thump of a bass drum you want in that electronic music. I listen to a lot of electronic myself, and depending on how it is mastered, the bass drum can dig lower in frequency on some tracks and less deep on others. I prefer an accurate "stab" type of a bass drum rather than a long muddy "thwomp". To me there's just no point in having a loud/low 4/4 beat when I'm more interested in the synths that reside higher up.
That being said, I owned a SVS PC12 (ported) and switched to the SVS SB13. Musically speaking, the sealed sub winds hands down. It's much more accurate, much more agile, and never obtrusive. The ported PC12 roared, but I never liked it for music. I don't know if other people share this same sentiment as well regarding ported versus sealed subs.
If your room is small and you're looking for accurate electronic music, I might suggest a pair of SB12s. If you're room is bigger, you may need to go ported for more output.
