what compares to my old pany?

Upgrading my pany TH Pz800u from 08 to something new.Looking for something compatible(spec wise) as I was happy with it.Im assuming there are better tvs with better specs for less these days.I just dont want to go in reverse.Any ideas?$2000 and under


hearing alot about the pany ST Is that a cheaper or better version than my old pany?

I would not assume that newer is better! See my thread below (Why did I upgrade this tv?)...I just evaluated my 7-yr old panny ph508ut with a highly-rated new panny 50ut50....no contest. Even with higher resolution and a 3d processor, the new panel had an inferior picture. Use your eyes!

What size TV do you want? The 7000 Series Samsung, or the cheaper ST series from Panasonic would be my first two choices today in great performing value oriented displays.

But, since size matters a lot, you will have to put that in.

Im going for a 60".I looked into the 7000 series.It appears most reviews say the panasonic st has a better picture.My concern with the panasonic is the blinking light of death,it happened to my old Panny.it makes me nervous going with another Panny Longevity is important as its a large investment.What to do?What to do?
