It sounds like it's a TV problem, no? Forget the receiver entirely, use the process of elimination, and start plugging sources directly into the TV. My bet is that it's the TV. My greatest fear right now is something like a failing motherboard or something (I don't know how TVs work), because that will pretty much mean that it's time to replace the whole thing. After eliminating the receiver and seeing that the problems continue, I advise contacting the mftr for troubleshooting tips, and/or ideas on what the culprits might be, with hopefully on idea on the cost of the fix.
