SVS Customer Service Rocks!

I took delivery of a PB12 Plus today.
As you may be aware, it was over 90 degrees in the New York region today and I had to wrestle this monster sub up a flight of stairs to my home theatre/living room area....No small task, but I have 2 college boys to help get this in position.
I noticed the power cord missing and was really bummed out, as I did not tell my wife about thjis major purchase and was going to surprise her when she came home late today..But, without a power cord, I would just have a pretty large sub and no sound!
I call SVS and Ed answers the phone...Please bare in mind, I was a little cranky at first wrestling this monster up a flight of steps in this super hot weather and was now missing the power cord...Ed answers the phone and immediately calmed me down and assured me he would have a power cord sent ASAP!....
HOWEVER, that is NOT the cool part!...Ed ask's "Do I have time to go through and set this up now"?
I about cried out in joy!..Here is 1 of the top guys in the sub business willing to help me get this set-up in my room....I jumped @ the chance and we went through sub settings, audessy (spelling?) and all my receiver settings to get this blended with my 5 speakers and now I can't begin to tell you how satisfied I am with this company...This was a major $$ purchase, and to have a respected figure in the audio industry personally help me set this system up in my own home is truly outstanding!...I am so over purchasing crappy products and non-existent, phony customer service @ this point in my life!
It is refreshing to do business with a company like SVSound!
BTW...The sub was completely set up perfect when the Mrs came home (thanks to ED) and my major $$ purchase without her knowledge and all forgiven with the beautiful PB-12 Plus and more importantly, the awesome sound this monster is producing from day 1.

Their service can't be beat. I love that you can get someone on the phone or on their chat within a minute. So I assume you had an extra power cord sitting around that you used? They are pretty standard cords. I must have 10 sitting around that fit.

Great to hear that you had such a good experience, Tim! My experiences with them were very similar. I'd get e-mails from Ed on the weekends all of the time when I'd ask questions, and when my first PC13-Ultra had a possible problem (I can't even say if it was a real problem, I had just called to get a new top grill because it was dented when I got it), Tom (now of Power Sound Audio) told me that he'd rather send me out a brand new one then take a chance that I got a bad product. I just about fell over at that one. I even told him that I thought it was probably fine, but he wouldn't hear of it. I had a new one about a week later. SVS is just aces in my book, and I look forward to seeing how Power Sound Audio turns out with Tom involved. Those guys are both class acts.

Thanks for the props Tim! Glad I was able to help you with set-up and I'm thrilled the subwoofer is performing beyond your expectations - the PB12-Plus is a real beast. And most important of all - your acquisition passed the WAF test and all is well on the home front!! :cool:

my subwoofer amp died few weeks ago.
It was solved in 3 day's i had my subwoofer working again with new amp they send me which was easy to install.

Cant go wrong with SVS :D
