US Olympic Uniforms Made In China

This type of story enrages me. Because the outfits were made in China? No. Because congress is spending our money talking about such an obnoxiously stupid thing, trying to divert attention away from the fact that they've continually effed up the economy. They might get a bunch of people all worked up, but it would be for no reason, IMO. Making outfits for the Olympic team almost surely wouldn't make a freaking dent in the 600,000 unemployed worker stats that they are quoting. "We employed over half a million people to make these clothes." BS. Plus, it's privately funded. The only tax payer money being spent is on them b***hing about it.

I wonder if the people in Congress trying to make themselves seem important with these statements buy American-made clothes (or other things). My guess is that they don't. After all, it's pretty difficult to not buy foreign made goods these days.

Yeah, I don't like that the uniforms are made in China but EVERYTHING is made in China these days. Congress needs to spend their time worrying about things that actually have some bearing on the economy.

It was dumb to have them made in China.

It was more dumb for politicians to get involved.

I like them. They look all retro-navy.
Now that you mention it, I think that my brother (or maybe it was me) had white pants and a blue blazer back in high school...in the 80s.

Either way, she's smokin' hot.

My wife was made in Asia.
Nothing wrong with made in China when it comes to beauty. :D

I bet they were wearing clothes made in china arguing with mics made in china over speakers made in china. I mean seriously this is hypocrisy of the highest order.

I read the U.S. Olympic team uniforms for the Salt Lake City games were made in Canada. Some idiots are trying to use that against Mittens for political gain and I find that ridiculous.

There are probably some American garment companies that could have made these uniforms, and done so proudly, but it's too late. Spilled milk.

I have become an avid label reader and look for that 'made in' or 'product of' before I buy. Yes, some things are more expensive and it's not a significant impact on jobs, but I feel better when buying American products. Okay, I'll be honest. I feel better NOT buying Chinese made products.
