Did you forget to take your medication today!? It's God's gift to my mouth and Satan's gift to my small intestine.

Oh yeah...then you ask for extra syrup and dip it in the syrup and ketchup....

MMMMMM...someone get me a towel.
If Adam offers you his - don't take it. That ain't syrup making it sticky...

Patiently waiting on Mark's report.
I've been scanning the news for any reports of a man protesting at Northern NJ McDonalds. Hope my 1st post was able to assuage some of his fears. Still think the English Muffin was inadvertently switched with a biscuit. Not a recipe change.
(one can only pray at this point):D

I think Mark is still too distraught to talk about it.
Just think how you'd feel if 50% of your world fell apart.
Note:* Lets be thankful that nothing has happened to the Hash Brown. (the other 50%)

I can't remember the last time I got some fast food that was already made before I ordered, besides fries. Even the cheap basic stuff at places like McDonald's and Wendy's isn't made til I order it. The only places I see heat lamps are over the fries - and the fries never sit there for more than a couple of minutes anyway. Or maybe chicken nuggets or something.
When I worked there, there were many times that food sat under those lights far beyond the 15 minute limit. The buns would get hard like rocks. Most of the time, food only sat there a minute or two, but I'll pass on that chance.

You and many others can enjoy their 'food', but it's not for me. Too many other choices that don't upset my stomach.

Out of curiosity, what kinds of items did you see sit under the lights for so long?

Mostly burgers. During the lunch rush, we'd be making them like crazy. Once the rush ended, if we didn't respond fast enough, there would be extras. Some managers were sticklers to have them tossed after 15 minutes. Others would try to extend that time.

I always order something as a special (no pickles or onions etc) to get a sandwich that hasn't sat under the lights. But you could still end up with one that sat in the steamer for a while before it got finished, bagged & tagged etc. If you go when they are slow, you may bypass the whole problem, but there are too many other places that I like much better.

You could call it syrup if that makes you feel better about it. Not sure how well it would go with pancakes though.
Just sayin'.
You are just saying that. IOTW you actually know how it would go with pancakes.

Can't say I'm surprised. Honestly if you are grossed out by how food is prepared you've probably never even heard the pigs being ... well trust me it's not a quiet process.

Not so much grossed out, (anymore). I did a term paper on the FDA back in HS. I lost a bit of weight back then due to some of what I learned.
My dad used work on a farm when he was younger. I've heard and seen what goes on. Like you said, not quiet, or pretty.

But I still doubt that Adam's 'syrup' would go well with pancakes. Just my opinion though, and I've never tried it to be sure.

We all knows he goes for that "organic" stuff though. Let's not process the flour and sell it for more money. This is a great idea.

Not when users with names like "GO-NAD" are around ;)

Ahh the things audiophiles say with a straight face that would make a layperson choke on their sandwich. "Hey dude I love your NAD."

"That sucks dude. You going to sell your NADs?"

Yeah, the wife won't let me keep them anymore. She says that they cause too much heat, and take up too much space.

From what I understand they aren't getting too much use anymore anyway.

Bit, I DID revisit Micky Dees. The muffin was crisper. I don't think they even toasted the last one but, even toasted somewhat, it still seems a bit thicker and doughier than I last remember, which would be at least 6 - 8 months ago.

To me, what I liked about the McMuffin was the high filling:bread ratio. I think that's been altered.
