They are not so much differing opinions, as they are simply looking at it from different perspectives.

why is your perspective so conservative? i ask this because Mark K's opinion is worlds apart from yours added to his notion that you test to pro audio standards, and Tc tests to Xmax. i know that you said that the comparison was for the products that you sell, but it was just kinda misleading... in a really good way. if i can give my 2 cents, i would like to see the standards that you test to listed on your site. it gives the numbers more meaning.

Interesting review to say the least...

Nathan there are a whole lot of claims made about this driver but where is the meat? Did I miss it somewhere?

Still compiling the data, and double checking some tests, before releasing the "hard" data, like GP frequency response, distortion, and EIA power handling numbers.

What else you want to know?

I was just wondering if you published some of that and whether I missed it buried on your site somewhere.

Other than that...How about some pics of it? :D

That looks awesome!

I take it, it sounds as good as it looks? :)
even better. it is so well balanced, minimal distortion. the warmth, transparency, and detail from vivaldi's violin concerto in A minor will melt your soul, and transformers movie sounds super wicked.
worth every last cent of the 9K i spent. here's a run down.

18.0 - TSAD18v2 (its a stiffer cone than the v1 and is killer)
- A 2.4KwX1 0.7KwX2 M1 3 chan amp (ie. the balls)
8.1 loudspeakers with curved side construction (same as 18.0) and under mounted speakon connection so the cable runs through the stand

Finished in Koa. the pic doesn't do them justice, because Koa has a golden iridescence that makes me smile every time i see my speakers.

Stands by JORGO Metalworks ( www.jorgometalworks.com )
- match the contour of the curved sides
- sound deadend up the ying yang.
- powder coated
- he will machine and make anything
- expensive but worth it

and yes, i hug my speakers. im just a man in love... with bad *** sound.

What made you choose TSAD18v2 vs TSAD18v1 vs LMS vs Pro18?

What are the main differences ?

I think Warpdrv has the LMS driver.

I'm thinking of getting the 18.0, but not sure which is the "right" one.

Are those monitors Salks, and if so, what model?
Sorry to disapoint you but those were build by Nathan @ Funk Audio. The speakers are essentially the same as the F8.2 less a less driver. Here is a detailed picture and description of the said speaker..... F8.2P

Nice to know that JSalk isn't the only one handy in the woodshop....;)

Have Nathan building me a 2 channel external subwoofer amp for my dual DIY subs. 2 x 2400 watts into 4ohm, with built in EQ functionality similar to his plate amps.

Looking forward to getting rid of my noisy QSC RMX5050, and the Behringer DCX2496.

Oh, guess I can also sell the balanced MiniDSP that I never ended up using as well!

One Crown XLS 2500 bridged = 2400watts into 4ohms = $512 x 2 =$1024 delivered. They are also silent.

Amazon.com: Crown XLS2500 Pro XLS Series Powered Amplifier Power Amp: Camera & Photo

Also, do you have 2 dedicated 20amp circuits in your room or just a single 20a circuit?

How much is the Funk 2400wpc x 2ch sub amp?
