I have searched for instructions on using the latest receiver sw with no luck. I am having a hard time understanding how to set the scenes using the sw and many other questions with only the pdf manual to go buy, I am stumbling around. Has anyone actually put together instructions? In one of Audioholics article about the A3000 they mentioned a previous review where they had reviewed the receiver manager sw, but I can't find it anywhere.

Hi. Is the PDF manual that you're using called "Vx67_ReceiverManager_Owners_Manual_E.pdf" or similar? I was just wondering if you're talking about the A3000 owner's manual or the software manual.

you should be reading "RX-A3000_omrc_en1.pdf" instead
download it from yamaha support web site
page 100

D\I did a search on the Yamaha site for "RX-A3000_omrc_en1.pdf," comes up item not found. The only thing that comes up are the sw updates and the owners manual which I have. Page 100 references "web control," not the receiver manager.
Any other thoughts?

"RX-A3000_omrc_en1.pdf" is just the A3000 owner's manual. I'm guessing that you have that already. If not, you can go to the Yamaha RX-A3000 product page, click on the "Support" tab about midway down the page, and then click the "RX-A3000 Owner's Manual..." link. I'd link to it directly, but it won't let me.

Yes Adam Thanks. I have the owners manual and it does not go into the "Receiver Manger" software at all, only the web control as mentioned in a prior post on page 100.

I think the OP is trying to do his setup via a web browser instead of manually via the receiver. All you should need to do is go to the network settings and find what IP address the unit is using. Then go to a computer on your network and type the IP address into a browser and you should see the receivers web controls.

To state more clearly, I am looking for detailed instructions on how to use the RMVx67 software. The instructions that come with the SW are lacking in detail and do not explain many things very clearly. I was hoping there was an independent review and explanation of some of the features.

From what I've gathered there isn't software to configure your receiver via a pc. I think it is only possible to make basic adjustments via web browser / ip address. I think the receiver manager software was for the RXV3900.

I also have the RX-A3000 and got curious about this software, which I had not been aware of before your posting (thanks!). After some Googling, I found the manual and software on this Megaupload link:

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Not sure where the files came from, but they pass the virus scan test. I have a Mac, so I will be testing this out via VMWare Fusion/Windows 7. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link! You can also get the software and manual from the links in the second post of this Audioholics thread - which I link to in case it has any helpful info to you regarding using the software.

Thanks Adam-I'm in the throes of integrating this receiver into my HT (replacing a Denon 3808CI, which moves to my other HT in the living room), so I plan to play a bit with the control SW to see if it helps me with the configuration. I also have the Yamaha iPad/iPhone app, so I have lots of fun ahead of me! :)
