Retails for $2500 received a good review on its audio performance and mediocre review on its video performance by Home Theater Mag. The reviewer felt the menus and setup were too cumbersome, disk loads exceedling slow (85 seconds for some discs) and he disliked the remote. He happened to compare it to an Oppo BPP-95 and found no difference in the actual video/audio performance except that the Oppo was much cheaper and smoked the Denon in load times. What is Denon thinking by releasing a dinosaur like this for this much money?

Denon was thinking "we need to have a new totl blu ray player that consumers will buy on the pretense that it's the best blu ray player offered from denon or any other company, and people will buy it"

You have a point there espcially with the uninformed consumers.
