LOL

That sucks but it cracked me up. Did you ever weigh it? I think Adam missed that project and for sure your pic/attachment thing was ... temporary. Let me see if I copied one of those pic's.

Yeah ... Adam, look at this thing. :)

Anyway, back to the rec'r: I kind of get how the sound can be different but the picture quality changing has me confused. You were going HDMI to your TV before, right? Now the rec'r just does the switching so PQ should be the same?

What did you calibrate your display with?
That wan't the end result. See here for the build. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1246132

It weighed well over 150 pounds before I put in the 52 pound driver. The crushed fingers happened when I dropped the driver in. While balancing the enclosure upside down (imagine that!), It didn't want to slip in. I was working it back and forth when it dropped in all at once. All those fingernails grew back already though.:p

I turned on the AVR's video processing option. It upscales the signal to 1080p as well as a few other thangs that I didn't really look into. It made very little difference on my 720p projector, but that 1080p LCD? WOW! The colors pop like it was a plasma set. (Now I need a new 1080p projector:mad:)

I have a BR disc for display calibration. Don't remember the name off hand, but I could check tonight if you like.

Pretty soon, high school kids will be telling stories in study hall about the "Dear Audioholics" letters that they read last night on their dad's forum.

"Nah, there's no way that s**t really happened, dude. That's got to be made up." Spoken by a kid who suddenly regretted wearing sweatpants to school that day.
