Ok, thanks again so much for all your advice everyone . It did indeed appeal to me to contact Nathan at Funky Waves being in Canada. i must say that he is fantastic! He got back to me right away and gave great advice. I hope he doesn't mind, but this is one of his replies and I wonder what you guys think. This is ALOT more than what i was thinking, but maybe i could buy one sub with the amp on it and then the other later or something? Thanks again for all the advice. Here is the reply:
"We are also working on a new*dual subwoofer design using our new 2400watt DSP amplifier(built into one of the enclosures), and the same TC Sounds Linear motor driver(s) as the FW12.X, in two sealed enclosures. It will*cost more than the 12.X, but*less than a pair,*and offers the benefits of having two subwoofers(placement flexibility and smoother frequency response), integrated silent operating amplifier(the separate amplifier with the 12.X even with the silent fan option still has a little fan noise), and it has full*DSP control*for,*EQ, crossover, delay, and*limiting. The pair would have more output and lower extension than a*pair of FW10.1's,*more output than the FW12.X over 50hz and under 18hz, a little less from 18-40hz.*Our*new 2400watt amplifier is a very high quality unit and offers even lower distortion,*better sound quality, and much higher dynamic power,*than the standard amplifier(s) used*for the*10.1*and 12.X.*In gloss black this system would be $2550, the enclosures would be 15" wide 15" deep 19" high. Overall this system is designed to be a less expensive, and more flexable*alternative to our FW18.0($3170 in gloss black)*with the same great sound quality, and only ~2db less overall output."

Seems interesting eh!!!

Thanks for the response.

I agree the SVS is a great product as well.

Is having an amp on one sub connected by a wire to another really a good solution?

This system really appeals to me.

I also find Nathan to be extremely patient and helpful in this decision process as well as very informative. We've sent over 20 emails back and forth so far!

So many options!

How do you find this recent solution though?

Thanks for the input everyone.

I really want to thank everyone Timoteo, GranteedEV, etc for their oppinions and input.

I decided on the option above and just ordered the 2 subs from Nathan at Funky Waves.

I look forward to updates as he builds them in gloss black to match my CM8s.

I think they'll ROCK! I sure hope they do!

Thanks again!!

Again seeking some advice.

I asked Nathan to make the edges of the subs "boxy" like my CM8s. Should i have them rounded like warp's 18 incher? What do you guys find looks better? It does appeal to me to have them match my B&Ws.

Thanks.

Personally, I would prefer the subwoofer's aesthetics to match my speakers.

I would have made em round :D

For when i decide to replace the CM8s :D

I find the roundovers make the sub look smaller...less obtrusive...:). I opted for the 1.5" edges on mine.

UPDATE!!

First of all... Nathan Funk is amazing!

These subs are going to match my CM8s perfectly I think!

I have the driver's recessed (on Nathan's recommendation) to enable magnetic covers like on my CM8s.

Here are some pictures of the build so far! I think the piano black will look so awesome soon!
