My Revel Salon 2 Have Arrived

Thank goodness I don't live in a 2-story house.

I pushed them and unpacked them all by myself.

So right now my muscles are just too darn tired.

But give me some time, and I will compare the Revel Salon2s with the Linkwitz Orions.

And post some pictures.

Extremely impressive. I mean the best I have ever heard in my life for sure.

Extremely impressive. I mean the best I have ever heard in my life for sure.

Wait until they've broken in. Yes, I know a lot of people say it doesn't happen but I firmly believe it makes a difference because I have heard and measured the difference.

However, I listened to the Salon 2 at the local rep's house and they were extremely nice right out of the box.

Speaker burn-in is all hocus pocus. Play them for an hour or two, get the "mechanical" parts of the speakers moving a bit, some current in the coils - its done. There are a few non BS speaker manufacturers that have measured this and say the break-in is not noticeable, but measurable within a few hours its gone.
Give us a review acudeftechguy, Give us your subjective views vs the orion, would be interesting to hear them in a room together. I love the Salon2's.

Nothing like "Before it had no bass, and now it does". More like "before it had 110db of bass output, now it only has 109.5db but goes 2-3hz deeper

It's definitely there, perhaps even audible if did a side by side comparision with the right content material. But I don't think a person could tell the difference after actually waiting for break-in. The time in between would be great enough to change perception and create confusion.
