So what did yall think. It was one the best 3d movies ever. It wasnt like clash of the titans and other 3d/2d movies. This was all 3d all the time. I saw it in the imax. Sound was amazing and the movie was visually stunning. Not once was there a gimmicky object flying out at the audience in 3d.

As for the movie, I dont understand why people continue to bash all of bays transformers movies. If you remember the cartoons or the cartoon movie, the plots and storylines were not top notch either. So why do people continually go see these types of movies expecting deep thought provoking plots? Its and action movie and nothing less.

I had a couple good laughs during the movie. A few of the action scenes were so awesome that the audience had to clap! IMO this was a epic movie. Had me on the edge of my seat a few times. It was nice and long. I cant see a great action movie being good if it is not long (batman and watchmen are good examples)

I think i will be going to see it again in the imax just to enjoy the sound and visual orgasm again.

Thanks for the review:D
Haven't been yet but will plan accordingly, being long and being on the edge of seat experience; no consumption of liquids well before the movie. :D

Yes, hard to understand the ones who want deep, thought provoking plots to enjoy. Too bad we don't have a good IMAX nearby.

Sorry to hear there is no imax around. You are really missing out, but if you dont know it wont hurt you. You can use the restroom the first 10-15 min of the movie. after that its all down hill!

I thought it was no better or worse than the other two. I really enjoyed it, and I'm happy to see Ferrari make an appearance as one of the transformers.

The title is wrong in the thread heading. It's Dark of the Moon. Not Dark Side of the Moon.;)

It was much better than the second which is nice. A good summer popcorn movie. It could have been twenty minutes shorter though.

The 3D was top notch and every bit as good Avatar. The sound mix is also first rate as well. Definite reference material.

The movie was about what I expected but the blatant disregard for basic physics of two large masses being in close proximity was something the 1980s cartoon at least got correctly that Bay did not. I did enjoy how Leonard Nimoy interjected Spock logic while threatening to destroy the Earth :)

3-D or not, this by far the worst transformer movie. Borrowed lines from Star Trek by Leonard Nimoy, too little plot and way too much fighting/chanmging left me frankly bored too tears. It was way too predictable. LaBeouf delivering his sarcastic lines and the eye candy sprinkled in to break up the long monotous fight seens made this flic tolerable. Thats as high as I dare go on this film.

The other thing I want to note is that I saw this in a Cineplex/Odeon chain. The sound was far from clear and my home theater system sounds much better than this than what I heard last night.

Robots & Chicks

Things I expect from a Transformers movie:

1) hot chicks
2) bad a$$ robots, cars, aircrafts
3) eye candy visual and sound effects
4) kick a$$ bass
5) fun, fun ride

I don't expect "War & Peace", "Pride & Prejudice" or "Sense & Sensibility".

I expect "Robots & Chicks".:D

I don't need an action movie to be thought-provoking, but it can't be completely stupid. The first movie was OK, the second one was a steaming, nut-filled pile of crap. After that fiasco, I said "F Michael Bay!" I don't want to ever see another of his movies. However a lot of people are saying that this is the best of the 3, but a lot of people liked the second one too, so I'm torn. I don't think I'll see it though.

I completely agree. I think some people / critics forget what the purpose of a movie is. In my opinion this was an enjoyable flick with tons of action and eye candy. I frequently visit rottentomatoes.com and I find it humorous that critics rate the movie a 38% or "rotten" and users who have watched it give it 90%.

When the second one came out, some people were complaining how the story was so bad that there would never be a reason to watch a second time. I've already watched it about 20 times and love it every time. Movies with stories on the other hand? Why watch them again? You already know the story and how it turns out. To me, action and eye candy make it re-watchable.

Yeah, we have 2 camps:

1) those who are "critics" and

2) those who love movies.:D

I thought it was okay enough. I enjoy stupid movies where things get blown up but a lot of little things bothered me.

Hey nothing any of the Transformers series have ever did has been worthy of an Oscar. Gen 1 is still my favorite despite all the stupid stuff found in those cartoons. Transformers Prime is actually a big improvement and I highly recommend to any transformers fans to start watching it.

Bay's 3rd installment certainly had a lot of really stupid stuff in it, but again this is Transformers NOT Apollo 13. The Kennedy cameos was really cool IMO and Shockwave was pretty awesome to see. I wish Bay would put some color in the Decepticons so you can tell who is who.

Personally I'd love to see a Prequel that shows who created the transformers (the Quintesson were the creators in Gen1). Also it would be cool to see Cybertron during its Golden Age when autobots and deceipticons were at peace. Imagine seeing Prime/Megatron working together until Megatron betrays him? While we are at it, throw in Unicron and have him munch a few planets ;)

Just go see it. It will not kill or hurt you. At most you will enjoy it. If not......just go home. Or you can walk out during the middle and complain to get your money back. Say some kids are in their disturbing you. You will get free tickets. always works for me!

I also enjoyed the second one. I liked all three. The first time i watched the second one I didnt catch the plot holes cause I didnt care about the plot. I just wanted prime to redeem himself for taking a arse kicking in the first movie...which he accomplished in the second and third. I agree with you about plot movies. Once you watch it...why watch it again. If there are kno action scenes to rewatch why watch it again.

I would love to see how they would create unicron. Colors on decepticons would be sweet. The purple shockwave wouldve been great. Would love to see galvatron arise!

And there are two types of flicks

1. Entertaining with or without a story
2. Mind numbingly dumb

I think Transformers movies belong in "the Entertaining with a very weak story" group.

It's funny how we are more "critical" on certain movies and more "forgiving" on other movies.

I was not very forgiving on the Wolverine Origins movie at all.

But I'm very forgiving on the Underworld, Resident Evil, and Transformers movies.

Well, actually I was NOT forgiving of the 1st Transformers movie in regards to the BASS/LFE. I thought it was inconsistent and horrible.
