I have a 15Ft. sub woofer cable and I don't need that much cable length where I have my sub set up. My question is, if I were to change the location of the sub at some time in the future I could use that extra cable. Can I just lay the extra cable on the floor, or coil it, or what?

Seriously, I have no life.

Since it is a sub cable, HF loss is not a concern. So yes you can.

Cables are cheap and in general it is best to keep things neat and tidy with cables the correct length.
