I Just got back from Fort Jackson S.C.

What field is he going to be commissioned in?
I believe his direction to be intelligence first and if I am not mistaken he will be directed towards aviation if his first option falls through , he is not here right now so I can not ask him, I know he is pumped about either one though, thanks for asking, Happy Easter :).

Intelligence after the first couple years can lead to some serious $$ if he goes to work for private military security firms, if he can learn the languages such as Persian Farsi or other dialects depending on his area of deployment, he can become quite valuable asset, having a linguist type background...

My old gf is doing exactly that and is back over there making what I would imagine to be a extremely good rate of pay - (6 figures) although now they are taxed on the money when before they didn't have to pay as much or any... can't remember...

The only way you could possibly be prouder, would be if he had joined the navy instead...;)

J/K!

(I did 23 years in the Canadian Navy, so I may be somewhat biased...:D)
