Was wondering if someone could help me out before I lug this thing back to Sams Club.
I just bought the Vizio 55 inch M550Nv LED. Picture looks good. Wireless doesn't work (Although I could care less about that) and I am having a problem viewing DVD's.
I have a Sony DVD player set to 16:9 aspect that has worked even up to this morning. The new Vizio TV arrived and now I can't watch a DVD on a full screen.
The vizio settings under wide is set to Normal. When I play a movie, there is a black bar on the sides of the tv cutting it by a third.
The only other settings under wide would be zoom, zoom2 and panoramic. All of those options fill in the screen, but stretch the picture.
On my previous Samsung 46 and Sony 42 LED and LCD tv, there was no need to distort the picture. The wide setting was set to normal and when the DVD was playing, the picture would take up the entire tv.
Is there something I am doing wrong, or is it the tv. I have tried other DVD's getting the same result. Also when I start the DVD player in the past, the start up screen would encorporate the entire tv. That is even cut by the black bars.
Don't know if I am explaining this accurately, but would appreciate any help.
