My Linux build

Hey guys,

I am saving for a new Mac. I Don't know which one I am going to get, but get one I will because my wife took her laptop back now that I am no longer in school. Anyway, I built myself a Linux box out of a P4 HP my brother-in-law gave me. Ubuntu 10.10 with Slickness black theme and Docky. What do you think?

I'm ashamed for you....you used that awful mac launcher bar on a Linux box.....the default Compiz and Beryl are sexy enough without it!!!

I like the Dock. Fast and easy to get to apps. What can I say. The Dock was a great idea Jobs stole from NEXT. Oh wait he was part of NEXT or something like that. Whatever

HA! Yes! All new mainstream tech is a he-said-she-said poo flinging mess....at least the consumer comes out on top...unless you buy mac product...that doesn't come with expandable upgradable anything *cough* Ipad *cough*.

I could ALMOST go Linux if not for a just few apps. Aperture, iweb, itunes, Toast, iMovie, and Final Cut Express. Aperture is a big one for me though. No body comes close to that one except Adobe Lightroom. I can certainly use a Linux box for everything else though.

Actually Yellowtail Merlot was rated as one of the top merlots even over stuff costing much more. Barefoot merlot was a runner up, but I don't like it as much.

I actually have the disks for building a hackintosh and I might see if I can get it to work. Not all hardware will.

What were we talking about again? Oh yeah Linux and stuff. Umm yeah Linux is GREAT, except for the music players all suck bigtime, the photo editing software sucks and the video editing software sucks, but hey I got google chrome and it's shiny

Just build a Linux box and run Mac in a virtual machine, I do it on my PC for testing stuff....
