Let's talk 2011 MLB baseball! (sorry Alex...:p)

I'm thinking my Phillies will win the NL East with 102 wins.:) Then we'll see what the playoffs will bring. for the rest of the NL: Milwaukee in the NL Central, San Fran. in the NL West and Atlanta is my guess for the wild card.

American League should shake out with the Boston, Minnesota & the Angels with Detroit as the wild card.

Ok...take your shots!:D

Seriously, I have no life.
Thanks for the vote of confidence on the Brewers. It has been an awfully long time since they were really good. I hope the late season swoon won't happen this year with the new life in the bullpen. They spent some good money without raising prices much, if at all, and Attanasio is a big baseball fan, likes Milwaukee and the fans like him. I hope the relationship lasts a long time because with the Selig regime, it sucked.

What do you think will happen after Bud leaves the office?

Hopefully the Brewers can put both pitching and hitting together in the same game this tear.
They have a very talented pitching staff this year and lost very little of the offense. They should do well. Make the playoffs? Not sure.
I'm set to watch a game from one of the luxury boxes this April. Not sure how I feel about that. I'd rather be down close to the field. But the beer is free.:D

At least their not the Cubs.:D:(

Lord only knows. I can't stand Bud Selig and his family. I hope they all vanish from baseball entirely.
Tell me about just when you thought it was safe.... he pops back up like herpes.

The Rangers went from home runs to batting average last year and I hope they stay that way. They have a good chance to win the AL West. Most folks don't realize we were in first before Lee showed up and another spring training with Nolan Ryan can only mean good things for all the young pitchers he keeps drafting and signing. I have never been more excited as a fan for a team than I am now. I have even considered picking up a 20 game package. Baseball is back thanks to the end of the roids era.

AL East
Tampa or Toronto(I'm not buying the Red Sox)

AL Central
Twins(they always find a way to win it.)

AL West
Rangers or As. I don't see the angels having a great year, but who knows.

AL WC
Yankees of course

NL East
Phillies

NL Central
Cardinals

NL West
Giants

NL WC
Marlins or Braves or Rockies

Should be fun to watch. Would be fun to have the Brewers make the WS since they haven't been in a long time. I hope you get to enjoy that. Seeing the Rangers make it was awesome.

Phillies win the opener 4-5 after going down 4-0 in the seventh!

Waiting on Sawzalot and his predictions...:)

Since I did I thought it would be fun to challenge everyone to predict you teams win total. Like I said, Phillies and 102 wins. The team record is 101 so with the starting rotation and the fact that they won 97 last year without Lee and Oswalt was only on the team for the last part of the season I think if they don't get decimated with injuries (injuries have already begun...:() it's doable.

So how 'bout it? Predict away boys!:D

Start at the Top with the NL East ;)
#1. Phillie's 2. Braves 3.Nationals - 4&5 (Mets:Marlins or Marlins:Mets)
If for some reason ( offensive woes ) the Phillies flip flop with the Braves they would surely be the Wildcard Team but that won't be the way it plays out :D

Central- 1.Reds 2.Brewers 3.Cubs 4. Cardinals 5. Pirates, 6. Astros. I really wanted to go Brewers first but I think the Big Red Machine will get it together.

West- 1. Giants 2. Dodgers 3. Rockies 4. Padres, 5. Diamondbacks.

AL East
1. Red Sox, 2. Yankees 3. Rays 4. Orioles 5. Blue Jays. I think the Rays and the Orioles both take a nice run at that second place finish as The Yankees Pitching falters and the seasoned veterans wear down at the midpoint.;)

Central- 1.White Sox 2. Tigers 3. Twins 4. Royals 5. Indians.
I like the Tigers and their new talent with some killer pitching but my gut says White Sox . Look out for the Twins with their talent pool as they make a legit run as well.

West-1. A's 2.Rangers 3.Angels 4. Mariners.

Rangers are the Wildcard and make a run again but fall short leading to the best WS in recent memory Phillies vs. Red Sox with the Phil's coming out on top winning game seven.

Hmmmm 2 so far :p

I hate to go there but I will take a shot, I know the pitching is going to carry this Werthless, Chaseless Team for the first half of the season. I think we might see the addition of a big bat before the All Star break if so I will go with 99-101 wins if we carry on with the youngsters riding the wings of stellar pitching I fear we may lose more of those 2-1 , 3-2 , 1-0 type of games which in turn will lower that win total number, by how much remains to be seen but maybe 92-94 wins. This is almost a loaded question with a team that starts off winning the first two games minus their better hitters and the young guys showing some serious poise. I will say "99" win total period.

**What is going on with The Flyers, now we lose Pronger, not looking good to get back to the big dance.

That rotation has the potential to notch up 70-80 wins that leaves the bullpen which is never a certainty to pick up the rest. I think 100 is not out of the question. If the bullpen is at least 50/50 you should be able to get to 100.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Royals do over the next 3 years with all those prospects. Hopefully the Phillies can sign the really good ones when the come up for free agency!:p:D

Sorry about that... I started to sound like a Yankees fan....

Phillies 3-0 but that was against the Astros... Mets up next. I wonder how the Mets are gonna fare this year. They always seem to have good talent but no chemistry...

Did you say Phillies 6-0 :D
I may be wishing a bit but I think we will see the chaotic mets in a downward spiral :)

That used to be impressive, but the Astros are a far cry from those days.
