Bipole/Dipole Kits?

I would say the rear effects are just not as noticeable as they should be. Some material you can hear them but on other stuff it almost seems like they are not even there at all yet when I walk back there they are on and stuff is playing. I just don't think I am hearing everything I should. They are set up exactly like this. Two pairs of Atoms side and rear. The sides are about four feet behind the main seating area and even with the last row, and the rears are about 11ft back.

Ahhh, I can see where the problem is now. You have too many remote controls!;):D

No, that pic is before the new Onkyo. I am only using one now the Onkyo remote is great.:D

That was an issue though.

I could move the sides up a little or try and angle them more towards the front. The rears are about 3ft tweeter to tweeter and I think they are less of an issue. One of those other surrounds mentioned though may be the best option for my room.
It's easy to understand that since they're already up, one might not be bothered with new speaker locations. I mean, I haven't relocated my rears yet either, even if I feel they need to be further out. They have about double the distance between tweeters compared to yours, and are considerably closer to viewers. I still think they are too close to each other though.

Again, it's hard for me to discern the angles, but it appears to me that your present side surround placements would be ideal for a 5.1 setup, not 7.1. Those types of angles are meant so that the two surround speakers attempt to straddle the side and rear areas, but at the compromise of a larger gap between your mains and either side surround.

IMO, 90 degrees is truly ideal with a 7.1 rig, with the sides. I mean, at least for someone who is always using the rears too via matrixing (I've run into a very few who listen to 5.1 only as 5.1, and 7.1 only when the track is natively so). But who knows, maybe you'd hate my suggestion.

May I ask where you got that portrait of Eastwood? :)

Yes, but his coolness factor negates that with his Light Sabres !!!!

That and a bit plus for Gonzo in the background.... !! :)

I bought the Eastwood portrait in some mall in FL years ago and never hung it.

Not sure if you have made a choice yet, but I would certainly like to see another row of speakers on the side. I think you could benefit from bipole/dipole or two monopoles on the sides because you have multi-row seating. Where do you normally sit?

I normally sit in the front center:D

I made a slight improvement today by switching out my mounts that I had on the rears that allowed more movement. I angled the sides into the seating area more instead at 90 like they were. It definitely helped. I think some sort of bi-pole is probably the best bet. I am looking into what will be my best choice. A couple that were mentioned looked interesting. I would like to know if anyone has experience with the Axioms too. I might just also make my own to match the Ushers I am going to build.
