I just ordered this stuff below. I can't wait till spring gets here:D

Holeshot slipon

Holeshot stage 2 jet kit.( it also removes the stock air box that sits behind the carbs and takes up the entire space. It is much cleaner without it)

AIS removal kit. It gets rid of the smog device to clean up the engine.

This is the smog device that sits on top the engine. All it does is suck clean air into the exhaust to dilute it so it will pass inspections. Just a trick really.

I was not interested in this thread because I thought you meant bicycle parts. There are so many guys pedaling around that when I read bike I am instantly afraid of getting into shape just by looking at people exercising.

That clean air into the exhaust might help burn unburned fuel. Not sure on this but raw fuel in the air is bad and catalytic converters need fresh air to work ... but I'm not at all up on what today's bikes do. You need to edit your thread title to say Motor Cycle. The poor bicycle enthusiasts are going to hate you for this. :D

It's not any kind of catalytic converter. It just mixes clean air with the exhaust to dilute the exhaust. Not needed on this bike and not in this state. It is more of a CA thing.

So what kind of power increase & weight savings will you see? Even if it's not much every little bit on a MOTORCYCLE (for Alex) makes a difference...and it looks cool.

About 25 lbs and an increase of 12-20hp and added torque.

Will you need a Command Module to reprogram the bike to see those gains? 20hp added for filters and an exhaust is a bit of a stretch.

Mine is not fuel injected. It is getting re-jetted, timing advancer, and exhaust. According to Dale Walkers Dyno test that what the expected gains are after all the work is done.

Edit: You are partially correct. I rechecked his charts and the bigger gains were with his full header system. I should see from 7-12 increase in HP and a little better gas mileage as the new jets are leaner than factory ones.

Parts are installed

Hey guys,

I got all the parts installed except the jetting. My mechanic will do that because I don't have a clue. In addition to removing the smog device and stock air box I also did the carb coolant bypass tweak outlined here. Basically, this bike stock pumps coolant into the carbs to keep the gas from freezing. It adds a bunch of tubing and is unnecessary in the first place. Here are the pics.

New pipe

Stock air box gone

Old pipe vs new pipe

Much cleaner looking engine

All the parts and tubing removed(this pic taken with blackberry)

Actually no. Been holding steady at around 175. It has shifted a little though so I need to fix that.
I jumped up to 206... last time I weighted my self I was 195. Not great but I want to keep myself below 200. 5'11" and 185 is where I'd like to reside but screw it...like popeye said. "I yam what I yam"!:D

Let us know how you like the bike after you get her tuned.

I remember when I was putting on my new exhaust and command module on my Gixxer, I asked "what's the next thing I can buy to really make this thing go fast? His response?

"A treadmill."

As I looked down at the beer that was resting nicely on my belly, I really had to laugh out loud.
