Must have crushed your sales quota!:)
I meant that I ordered a poster of it...

Speaking of quotas; I don't understand my company at all. I just got back from my national sales meeting and they hit me with a quota less than last years and that was after my best quarter ever. I have never seen it go down, heck, normally they raise it if you even sneeze.

I think it is a mistake so I hope they hurry and get me the paperwork to sign off so I am locked in.

Am I the only one to think this is retarded? Why would you put a small block twin turbo motor into such a light / small chassis. You are completely destroying the dynamics of the car. I mean maybe not as bad as Tesla's 4 million 18650 lithium ion battery packs, but it can't be great.

Why not just build and turbocharge the OEM motor? Sure you won't get the torque characteristics of the v8's displacement, but can you really put that much torque to the ground on such a light car?

Seems like a waste...

Because it is about acceleration and speed. Lotus themselves have already turbo charged, supercharged, etc... the stock motor. Look at those rear tires! I am sure this car will still hook up, and they aren't destroying the dynamics because it is practically a different car. The starting point was that chassis, but in the end it is something entirely different.

Ever see the Elise vs the Tesla on Top Gear? The Tesla beat the Elise (which surprised me). So the torque of the electric motor outweighs the additional weight of the batteries, and the batteries are properly placed low to maintain a low CG.
