Texas snow

I know most of you are sick of snow but we don't get it very often so it's nice when we do.

Last week I was still biking in shorts.

This is what I have been riding this week.

Unrelated to snow but this is what happens when rocks hit carbon.

Got reports of 3" in College Station.

Grandkids love it but their mom says people don't know how to drive in that stuff there. Lotsa slippin' and slidin' going on.

Forgive my ignorance but what do you guys do when the roads are covered with snow like that? Do you just stay home or do they have a public service that comes along and plows the snow away so you can drive?

Usually, the town/city/state/province takes care of it with their own equipment, or it might be sometimes contracted out. If it's bad enough (which is relative), then yes, we stay home. Otherwise, off to work we go! It can depend on your employer too. Some care about their employees and tell them to stay home. Others couldn't care less if you're killed trying to get to work, just as long as the desks/store/shop floor, etc is manned.

Work has been closed for me the past 4 days because of weather - not that I would have gone anyway since I have bronchitis

I'd go take some pictures but they'd be pretty much the same as yours, without the pool

You can't drive with the people around here. They don't realize you can't do a slingshot maneuver in snow. The bad part was the layer of ice below though.
