Reminds me of the bimbo that sued for the hot McDonald's coffee.

Several people tried sueing Macdonalds for similar incidents in the UK and the judge threw the cases out and said:

"If this submission be right, McDonald’s should not have served drinks at any temperature which would have caused a bad scalding injury. The evidence is that tea or coffee served at a temperature of 65 C will cause a deep thickness burn if it is in contact with the skin for just two seconds. Thus, if McDonald’s were going to avoid the risk of injury by a deep thickness burn they would have had to have served tea and coffee at between 55 C and 60 C. But tea ought to be brewed with boiling water if it is to give its best flavour and coffee ought to be brewed at between 85 C and 95 C. Further, people generally like to allow a hot drink to cool to the temperature they prefer. Accordingly, I have no doubt that tea and coffee served at between 55 C and 60 C would not have been acceptable to McDonald's customers. Indeed, on the evidence, I find that the public want to be able to buy tea and coffee served hot, that is to say at a temperature of at least 65 C, even though they know (as I think they must be taken to do for the purposes of answering issues (1) and (2)) that there is a risk of a scalding injury if the drink is spilled."

Sounds sensible to me, its common sense that coffee is obviously going to be hot. If you actully read the court report it brings up some absoluelty ludicrous claims by the claimants:

Cathy Cruz Marrero, is charged with five felony counts, including theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

Police said Marrero, who used to work at Zales Jewelers at the Fairgrounds Square Mall in Muhlenberg Township, used the Zales credit account of someone she knows to make more than $4,000 in purchases without the account-holder's permission.

Marrero also used the same woman's Target credit account to buy more than $1,000 worth of merchandise, said police, who indicated in court documents that the purchases were made prior to August 2007.

According to those court documents, Marrero promised between August 2007 and September 2009 to reimburse the account-holder for the money she spent, but failed to do so. The criminal charges were filed in October 2009.

If she hadn't started barking about a lawsuit, nobody would even know it was her. She needs a reality check- it's NOT all about her and until we knew her name, we were just laughing at an anonymous person falling into a fountain because she was too stupid to sit down before she started texting. Someone needs to tell her to STFU.

I think that fountain was placed perfectly for the purposes of the video. For her purposes, not so much. If she's from that area, she should have known she was getting close to the fountain just by the sound of the water, if not seeing it over the phone. Talk about someone who's not aware of her surroundings.....

Just another loser trying to blame someone else for her failings. If she gets one penny, it's more than she deserves.

She probably figured she'd either get to sue or get paid to go on the morning talk show circuit who celebrate so-called victimization and things of this dubious nature.

Like I said, "now we know why she needed that settlement". Because she stole money from a coworker at the mall, she needed to come up with a lot of money. This is the reason why she staged this incident, hoping she would make money and be able to pay back what she stole. The person she stole from gave her the opportunity to pay it back, but she stole (basically took credit card numbers and used them) so much that there was no way she was going to be able to pay it back.

If you watch the video, it is pretty obviously staged because she had to know there was a camera where it would capture it and there's NO WAY anyone would walk for that long without checking in front of them in a mall, not to mention the fact that that she works there, so she knows the layout.

If she staged a fall in to a fountain while texting to gain settlement money she is even more stupid than she appears to be, which would really be saying something. There must be numerous icy spots in the parking lot she could stage a fall on. Of course, with her brain power she'd probably do it at night in a remote area then freeze to death. That would be Darwinism at work.

The fact that there are such lawyers speaks volumes about them and the outrageous number of law schools in this country will to take student's or government money when there is not enough legitimate work for the lawyers to do.
