Anyone using an electronic x-over with their JL Audio F112/113s?

I am using a pair the F113s in my system, but am now running my speakers full range. I know of at least one crossover with good enough audio quality, but it is no longer manufactured and is hard to find.
I'm curious what others have found to use?

A miniDSP is exactly what you want. I will post more on it over the weekend.

It's essentially so customizable that you could program a 96db/octave 2-way crossover (without the associated phase shift of a high order XO as it's digital) at 10hz.

What is your equipment list....? Pre-Amp...?

What speakers could you possibly feel will produce better low end grunt then the JL's ?

I got some IMO fantastic mains, that will dig deep but I still xo at 120hz....

+1 on the new MiniDSP, it would offer a great addition and is a well growing fully digital DSP for whatever implementation you could possibly looking to use it for...

What would that be as a physical device? Cost is important, so is this DIY?
I appreciate the post and suggestion.

I'm not quite sure what pre-amp I will be using, it may change in the future..I downsized last year, and went "vintage" on much of what I have.

PRE-AMPS:

VAC CPA-1 MKIII (sent to VAC last year, updated/upgraded as far as they could take it) with Signature phono mods

Accuphase C-200X (will upgrade Caps, other needed parts soon)

Harmon Kardon Citation I (will be completely upgraded soon)

AMPLIFIER:

Harmon Kardon Citation II (will be fully upgraded soon)

SPEAKERS:

Green Mountain Audio "Continuum 3"

I think you missunderstood what I meant with my main speakers... I run them "full range" WITH my F113s, as I don't have a Xover now.
Actually, it didn't sound that bad, I was able to blend them together somewhat well without a crossover.

Actually, this system is in storage until my house is finished...I'm in "remodel hell" and hopefully this summer will be done.
In the basement, I have an old vintage Sansui AU 11000A integrated amp with Celestion model 11 speakers supplying music until my remodel is finished.

Hope that helped..

Oh Ok, I get cha now....

Yes, most people just run through a receiver or preamp and have that do the xover, but with lack of subwoofer integration on most if not all esoteric 2 channel preamps its quite depressing to implement a decent xover...

Is your gear RCA or XLR ?

Everything I have is single ended

If you could put that minidsp in between the preamp and amps, and implement the crossover for the sub - that may in fact be the most cost effective solution....

R & L channel in, and separate them to R & L out, as well as sub out - R & L sub out if you so choose... or just mono
