No the settings are exactly the same, I remember them distinctly, 52 for brightness, 54 for contrast, 16 for colour, 1 for sharpness and colour temp normal. Besides my room was locked for the whole three to to four weeks and I have the only key apart from the university.
Its pointless having a pro do it for me as the TV's about three years old and not worth the cheapest cost (£99!). The only reason that I really want to have it working again is that its not actually mine, I borrowed it off my parents as all I had was a CRT TV in my bedroom that there was no space for in the car.
My parents are coming up for my Birthday in a couple of weeks and their going to bring my CRT TV that I have in my bedroom at home and take the LCD back and my dad says he'll fit the tube for me. He knows a bit about it anyway as it similar to what he used to do sometimes when he worked for British rail years ago.
