This whole logo change and now the surrounding "controversy" being a major news story reeks of desperation on their part to remain relevant.

Every once in awhile I go to starbucks because it's convenient and I'm not a big coffee person...who cares about their logo? lol.

I go to Starbucks for the coffee CAKE. I don't drink coffee (regularly) :) They look at me weird when they ask do you want coffee with that and I say NO :)

Starbucks is the Bose of coffee IMO. Try some Juan Valdez sometime and you will never drink that drudge again

We have a little place in town called "The Human Bean" :D LOL. I haven't tried it yet (obviously because I don't seek out coffee).

Who cares what their logo is? It's JUST COFFEE. Deal with it people. I could maybe see if the logo was a big middle finger or something goofy, but WTH? What kind of people have time to protest something like this? I mean, the friggin logo is basically the same thing just without the starbucks name. Come on.

I'm old school. I use a stove-top percolator to make my coffee and I only use percolators that are made in Italy. IMO, they still make the best coffee. Call me a snob, but I actually want to taste my coffee :)

My g/f drinks coffee and she uses a press. I would need to use a press also most likely because it has to be fresh for me. My buddy is a coffee FREAK who has his some crazy professional setup in his kitchen. We went to this little Italian place in SF / little Italy and he said he has been going there for nearly 40 years just because of their caffe. We tried it last time, and it IS the best coffee I have ever tasted.

Don't worry 'cause coffee snobs consider perculated coffee to be the worst since it recirculates the brew back through the grounds. It overheats the grounds and extracts too much of the bad stuff.

You'd have to talk about vacuum coffee makers and french presses to keep up with the coffee snobs.

I use a percolator for camping, but yeah no doubt the french press is much better. I think in fact I just might bring a press for camping for now on, not sure. I've had the vacuum coffee before, it's really great! My friend got one, it might have been from Italy, but anways it's pretty cool to watch it work.

I got a Baratza grinder thanks to the recommendations from this forum. It works great!!

Oh yeah, Starbucks is the sewer of coffee!! Even McDonald's coffee is way better.
