None of my friends wanted to bet with me after Sweden defeated Canada that Canada would be playing in the finals for gold. I'm glad Russia took out out the Swedes because I predict that Canada will defeat Russia for the gold.

Haven't watched any games myself...really don't care because for the most part its a foregone conclusion they'll be playing for gold(like the last 10 years or so...) and more likely to win it. Yeah...hockey and curling we're really good at......

I was shocked at the poor turnout of American supporters. It was like a home game for Team Canada - played in Buffalo!

Tonight's the night ..gold metal game and all. I have plenty of cold beer in the garage.

Holy smokes! Did the boys think that the gold medal game was 40 minutes long? My neck is getting stiff, cause I'm still shaking my head over that 3rd period performance. However, full marks to the Russians for not giving up.

The Russians began to play better after they pulled their first goalie and Canada played sloppy at the start of their 3rd period and got rattled after the first 2 goals. They were never able to recover after that making bad passes, stopping the body checks. They just caved for no reason. It was analogous to seeing an Ottawa Senators game where they thake an early lead just to lose at the end. Still, they won a silver medal and is their 10th or 11th trip to the finals.

LOL, I saw on the news at lunch that the Russian team was kicked off their plane for getting out of hand.
