Pretty good, considering I was just in two different hospitals over the last 9 hours with a son that amputated the tip of his pinky off at school today. Poor guy. :(
Ouch! I sorry to hear that, man. How is the little man doing?

He's doing pretty good I'd say. He has Tylenol w/ Percocet (sp?), but yet he doesn't get loopy. That is kind of disappointing. Kinda like that kid on youtube that just got done at the dentist's office.

He is managing to stay relatively calm and keep his blood pressure low, so that is a major victory. We will see how long we can hold that course, he's a wild animal usually. :D

Glad to hear you're kid is doing good, Chris. ;)

Yesterday I was thinking about how funny it would be to wear some nut hugger cycle shorts to Thanksgiving dinner. I immediately thought of you and a few other 'guys' on AH that probably own them. You know, I'm still pretty amused by that whole thing ... it would be great to get you guys in a group pic. I think you should all meet up in the Adirondacks come spring. You, Whitey, Greg and of course Craig. I wonder if anybody else owns a pair. :D

It's too dangerous to stand behind Alex..... there could be smell and residue
I don't like the image I'm providing for myself now
Well, I wouldn't just be standing there.;)
Imagine that.

Man we need to get you back to work. If you are sitting around thinking about us in cycling shorts you have well and truly lost it.:D But it would be great to get everyone up here for a ride and maybe skip the photo. :p

Good to hear that he is doing well, Chris.

Does he at least have a good story to tell?:)

My son (10) was at basketball practice and went face first into a (movable) wall on Monday night...you should have heard the sound it made. I thought his nose would be broke but he walked away with only a fat lip. Kids...:)

From what I can gather, he was holding open one of those steel exterior doors at his school, and had his left hand near the hinge side of the door. Apparently some kid from the outside decided to push the door shut, and my son's finger wasn't quite clear of the jamb. Thanks for the well wishes.

Ouch. I'm glad he is ok.

After listening to 4 pairs of speakers ranging from $1,500 - $5,700 yesterday I am unspeakably disappointed in some of my gear that I was totally in love with the day before yesterday. The good thing is that with my 360's I have been reigned in from turning them up too loud and ruining the good sound they are able to produce ... so that's a plus but I'm not as in love with them as I was.

This just in ... :)

After using some of what I have learned here and elsewhere I raised my x-over to 80, cut the gain on my sub by a couple of dBs and turned the volume down. I feel like every time I say something about turning the volume down Walter sheds a tear like the Indian does when people litter.

Edit: All this listening and consternating makes me appreciate what it really takes to get clean sound at high SPL's. $$$

It's okay. I'm becoming a better listener and more discerning of quality.
That way when I start my own web site about speaker porn I will know something about speakers. :D

ha ha... been there myself.... I had a quest looking for speakers a few years back and auditioned all this gear... Mostly what I achieved was being less happy with what I have because there is so much good stuff out there :D

Except for one thing... I learned to realize how good the small Duntech speakers are :p

Unfortunately much of this good stuff is also very expensive :(

Therein lies the rub but the lesson to be learned is that speakers are like hammers.
I have several and different ones and they are good for different things.

For instance my sledge hammer is great for rappers ... :D

Fear not ... that stuff washes right off.
